Kamerarull

The first year, before it all blurs together.

You took thousands of photos, and so did everyone who came to visit. Keep them in one private place, let the grandparents watch, and make a film of the first year.

Free while in early access. No card needed.

Tiny knitted baby socks, a pacifier and a phone on a white duvet in soft morning light

How it works

  1. Everyone uploads

Add both your camera rolls, then invite the grandparents and the friends who visited. Add more as the months go by.

  2. We get it ready

We read dates and places, flag duplicates and transcribe what's said in the videos. Nothing is deleted or made up; what we can't tell stays unknown.

  3. You say who's who

Name the baby, the two of you and the family. The midwife can stay unknown.

  4. Make something

Pick the moments we found, add your song and check the film draft before you show it. Or put it all on the TV tonight.

Your film. Your song.

Record the lullaby you sang at three in the morning, right on your phone. Upload it and the film is cut to fit.

  • MP3, M4A or WAV from your phone or laptop
  • The film is cut to fit the length of the song
  • Use music you own or have the rights to

What you end up with

  • A film of the first year

An MP4 to keep, download and play at the first birthday.

  • One place for every photo

Your phones and everyone else's, in one collection that keeps growing.

  • Grandparents who can watch

Invite them as viewers. They see everything and change nothing.

Good to know

Can the grandparents just watch?
Yes. Invite them as viewers. They can see everything in the collection, but they can't add, change or delete anything.
Can we use our own song?
Yes. Upload a track you own or have the rights to use, as MP3, M4A or WAV, and the film is cut to fit its length. We don't check the rights for you, so make sure you have them before you share the film.
Do we all need accounts?
Everyone who adds photos joins the collection with their own account, so you can see who added what. People who only want to watch can join as viewers. To watch together on a TV, only the owner or editor running the remote on their phone needs to be signed in.
Is it free?
Yes. Kamerarull is free in early access, with shared limits for each collection: up to 20 GB, 5,000 files and 10 hours of video. There is no payment card and no automatic upgrade to a paid plan.
Who can see our photos?
Only the people you invite. Members can see the whole collection and everything made from it. Our processing needs access to your media to prepare it, and we explain each automated step. There are no advertising trackers.
Does AI make the film?
AI helps describe the photos and suggests a draft from the names and moments you have confirmed. You check and edit every caption before you make the film.
Do we have to name every face?
No. If the collection's owner turns on face grouping, we suggest groups of faces for you to name or leave unknown, and a person checks every suggestion. You can also add people by hand.
